Letting You Heal You With Regenerative Medicine
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)
Platelet-Rich Plasma or “PRP” uses your body’s growth factors to heal itself. Once the treatment plan is discussed, patients have a simple in-office blood draw, which is then “spun” down in a specialized centrifuge to produce a concentrated amount of platelets and other growth factors, which is then prepared to be re-injected into the treatment area.
• PRP can help treat degenerative joint conditions
• PRP uses your own blood products
• PRP treatments can reduce joint pain and accelerate healing for certain types of injuries
• PRP injections can be performed for injuries of the knee, hip, shoulder, back as well as other parts of the body.
Amniotic Derived Growth Factor Injections
This regenerative medicine treatment utilizes growth factors derived from amniotic tissue that meets or exceeds standards set by the FDA. This type of treatment has been performed thousands of times across the U.S. with no reported complications or side effects.
Amniotic derived growth Factor injections can:
• Help treat degenerative conditions
• Can be a viable treatment option for injuries of the knee, hip, shoulder, neck and back
• No reported long term side effects
• No reported adverse reactions
Are there studies that support the viability of growth factor injections?
Amniotic fluid “growth factor” injections have been studied for years and discussed in countless medical journals. Some studies show that these types of injections are often superior to platelet-rich plasma (PRP), as well as treatments that use growth factors that are derived from a person’s own fat or bone marrow.
Are there any long-term side effects?
To date, there have been no reports of long-term side effects or adverse reactions to treatment with amniotic fluid-derived growth factors.
How effective are growth factor injections?
The effectiveness of treatment does vary from patient to patient. Many notice a marked improvement in their pain within days after injection, with most patients experiencing benefit within 3-4 weeks of treatment.
How long can I expect the benefits of treatment to last?
It is not uncommon for patients to experience the benefits of treatment for as long as 6-12 months or more. Injections can be repeated as necessary.
How soon after treatment will I begin to experience the benefits of growth factor injections?
Depending on the condition being treated, some patients may experience some degree of pain relief within hours of treatment.
